Shakespeare's Birthplace
Becoming Shakespeare - our exhibition at Shakespeare's Birthplace will take you on a journey through the creative and cultural environments that helped shape William Shakespeare.
All the World’s a Stage - live performances in the Birthplace Garden. Join the team at Events from History, who will join us to celebrate The Women Who Made Shakespeare. Enjoy a range of performances featuring some of Shakespeare’s most iconic female characters.
Anne Hathaway's Cottage
Nature Explorer Backpacks - get closer to nature at Anne Hathaway’s Cottage.
Pick up a Nature Explorer Backpack at Anne Hathaway’s Cottage and discover all sorts of items to explore the cottage garden of a young Anne.
Our Nature Explorer Backpacks are included in your admission and are exclusively available at Anne Hathaway’s Cottage.
A limited number of backpacks are available, issued on a first-come, first-served basis to children aged 4–11.
Shakespeare's New Place
Garden Games and Talks – relax and play at Shakespeare's New Place.
Settle into the gardens with one of our picnic blankets and enjoy timeless board games and lively lawn games. Expand your knowledge with engaging talks and tours led by our onsite team. Designed for all ages, it's a chance for families to explore at their own pace, pause for play, and discover the stories of the house and grounds together.
Creative Explorer Backpacks - be inspired at Shakespeare’s New Place.
Pick up a Creative Explorer Backpack and discover the place where William Shakespeare wrote many of his best-known plays. Our backpacks are included in your admission and are exclusively available at Shakespeare's New Place.
A limited number of backpacks are available, issued on a first-come, first-served basis to children aged 4–11.

Object Handling - get hands-on with history.
During your visit, our friendly team will be on hand to showcase a selection of objects from our collection. This hands-on activity helps you explore history and find out more about life in Shakespeare's time.
Family Trail - discover the remarkable stories of the women in William Shakespeare’s family who were born, grew up and lived in our properties.
