Shakespeare’s Family Trail

Discover more about the women in Shakespeare’s life.

Discover the women who were born, grew up and lived in our homes

New for Summer 2024, discover the 'Shakespeare’s Family Trail' across the 3 Shakespeare family homes in celebration of the 'Women Who Made Shakespeare'.

Taking inspiration from the famous speech from ‘As You Like It’ , but focusing on the female perspective, this is your chance to discover the remarkable stories of the women in William Shakespeare’s family who lived and worked in our properties in Stratford-upon-Avon.

See if you can discover:

Who was the only family member to live in all 3 properties?

Which house was home to 5 of Shakespeare’s family members at the same time?

Who was the last living descendant of William Shakespeare and where did they live?

6219-0510

Our family trail is suitable for children 4+ and is included in your admission to Shakespeare’s family homes.

To get the most out of the whole trail, we recommend purchasing our Shakespeare’s Story ticket, which gives you unlimited access to all the Shakespeare family homes for 12 months from your first visit, for one great price.

Enjoy daily from 27 July – 3 November, included in your admission.
