Little Cures - Richard Woods

Meet the artist Richard Woods whose work forms part of our Little Cures exhibition

Working in an imaginative style, Richard Woods makes paintings, woodcarvings and prints. He lives and works in Cheltenham.

Although imaginative, his work is rooted in real life stories and subjects. Richard began as an oil painter but more recently he began exploring alternative paints and lacquers combined with woodcarving. His background is in engineering alongside fine art and gardening, all three of which have inspired his work. He has exhibited nationally and internationally, including in shows alongside Peter Howson OBE, John Bellany and Steven Campbell.
