Will’s World: An Interactive Storytelling Session

Looking for something interactive to introduce your children to Shakespeare’s stories, language and heritage …

This interactive storytelling session covers Shakespeare's life from cradle to grave using artefacts, props and archive material. The story session is followed with play-based drama activities, techniques and games.

We currently offer a choice of two focus plays: The Tempest or A Midsummer Night's Dream.

Will on the Road

This hands-on full or half-day workshop allows children to learn about Shakespeare from cradle to grave, as they discover what life was like for William as a schoolboy, actor and playwright.

Activities include:

  • writing with quills using the Tudor alphabet and discovering how quills, ink and parchment were made
  • hearing about the plague in Shakespeare’s time and investigating Tudor remedies including making a lavender bag
  • Tudor dancing and playing games of the time

One class per half day (2 hour session) or two classes across a whole day for either session.
