Celebrate Shakespeare Week 2026 with us at Mary Arden's Farm

Join us at Mary Arden's Farm in Wilmcote for a family fun day to celebrate Shakespeare Week 2026

A chance for families to find out more about William Shakespeare's life and times at the home of his grandparents and have a go at a range of hands-on activities designed to offer fun for all the family.

  • Enjoy a range of play inspired arts and craft activities.
  • Try your hand at writing with a quill.
  • Create your own artwork alongside a local artist to add to our community-led art installation.
  • Have fun with William’s wonderful words and perform ‘on the spot’ Shakespeare snippets.
  • Join local musicians to experience Tudor music and dance.
  • Play Tudor games.
  • Explore a Tudor farmhouse on a guided tour of the historic site of Mary Arden’s Farm.

Activities are suitable for all children.

Please note onsite parking is limited and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. The farm is a 5-7 minute walk from Wilmcote Station on the main Birmingham to Stratford-upon-Avon railway for those coming by public transport.
