Getting to Know Will Workshop at Mary Arden's Farm

A fun, hands-on workshop for home educator families.

Join us in the unique setting of Mary Arden's Farm for a workshop offering a fascinating window into William Shakespeare's world and life in Warwickshire.

All sessions were brilliantly informative and engaging. Can't wait to come back again.

Activities include:

  • writing with a quill, creating parchment tags and making wax seals
  • investigating plague remedies with the apothecary
  • learning how to stage a dramatic sword fight
  • having fun with William's wonderful words and staging a snippet performance using his original text
  • becoming immersed in the world of Shakespeare's imagination and language
  • playing with Shakespeare's rhyming couplets and iambic pentameter, whilst demystifying his language
  • exploring a Tudor farmhouse and the historic site of Mary Arden's Farm
  • walking in William's footsteps and discovering more about his life and legacy.

Please note this session is suitable for children aged 6 to 12.

Each child must have a nominated adult present with them during the workshop, ideally with a maximum of 4 children per adult.

Places on the workshop are limited due to capacity at the farm. Payments are non-refundable, unless the workshop has to be cancelled due to extreme weather conditions.

The event is subject to minimum number requirements, and could be cancelled if these numbers are not reached.
