Join us at Mary Arden’s Farm this summer for two special Community Days.
Back by popular demand, our summer Community Days invite local families, community partners and visitors to discover the charm of Mary Arden’s Farm. This much-loved rural site is also home to our primary learning programme, making it the perfect setting for a day of discovery, play and hands-on history.
Each Community Day will be packed with family-friendly activities, Tudor experiences and the chance to enjoy one of Stratford-upon-Avon’s most atmospheric historic sites.
Community Days will take place on:
- Saturday 18 July
- Saturday 15 August
Enjoy hands-on craft activities, tours of Palmer’s Farmhouse, Tudor games, rare-breed farm animals and more throughout the day.
Tickets are £5 for adults and £1 for children, with all proceeds supporting the care and maintenance of Mary Arden’s Farm.
What’s On at the Farm
Step into a day in the life of a Tudor farm and enjoy activities inspired by our educational visits, including:
- Tours of Palmer’s Farmhouse led by a costumed guide
- Object handling with our Tudor replica collection
- The chance to write with a quill and ink
- A closer look at our wonderful farm animals, including rare breeds
- ‘Have a Go Archery’ with our friends from Events from History
Our Community Days are kindly supported by NFU Mutual.
Entry and Arrivals
Please pre-book a staggered entry time before you visit. Our car park is expected to be very busy and parking cannot be guaranteed, so we strongly recommend travelling by train where possible. Wilmcote station is just a five-minute walk from Mary Arden’s Farm.
Please arrive within your half-hour entry window. This will help you book onto a timed tour of Palmer’s Farmhouse, should you wish to join one, and find space in our seating areas. If you arrive much earlier than your booked slot, you may be asked to return later. Once you are in, you are welcome to stay for as long as you like.
Refreshments
As Mary Arden’s Farm is a working farm, please use the designated eating areas and do not bring picnic equipment. Shakespeare’s Kitchen will be serving hot and cold drinks, street food options and cakes to purchase. You are also welcome to bring a packed lunch to enjoy in the designated areas.
Book Your Tickets
There are 700 tickets available for each Community Day, with additional spaces reserved for our community partners. Please book early to secure your place.
