Best Will in the World Drama Workshop on 'A Midsummer Night's Dream' for Home Educator Families

Join us in the unique setting of Mary Arden's Farm to walk and perform in William Shakespeare's footsteps using fun, interactive storytelling techniques.

Activities include:

  • Exploring the major themes of A Midsummer Night's Dream in a fun and interactive way
  • Finding out about the social and historical context of the play using artefacts and documents from the Trust's archives
  • Developing an understanding of the play's narrative and how scenes fit together
  • Rehearsing scenes from the play while working in small groups
  • Performing an abridged version using original text, movement and music
  • Exploring a Tudor farmhouse and meet the animals.

Please note this session is suitable for children aged 7 to 12.

Each child must have a nominated adult present with them during the workshop, ideally with a maximum of 4 children per adult.

Places on the workshop are limited due to capacity at the farm. Payments are non-refundable, unless the workshop has to be cancelled due to extreme weather conditions.

The event is subject to minimum number requirements, and could be cancelled if these numbers are not reached.
