Blue-badge parking is available nearby on the top of Henley Street, by the statue. Accessible toilet facilities are available in the Shakespeare Centre Reception, Henley Street.

Access to the Reading Room is via a stairwell with handrails. Where visitors require lift access, we can accommodate this via staff access routes. Please don’t hesitate to let us know if you have any accessibility needs by emailing [email protected].

Let’s help keep each other safe

In order to maintain a safe environment throughout your visit a number of measures will remain in place for a little while longer:

Social distancing of desk facilities and cleaning protocols will continue. Hand sanitiser units will be available throughout our reception areas. The windows in our Reading Room will be open to support good ventilation. Given this, we advise you to dress according to the weather.

As we get used to living with Covid-19, please remember that we may each have different attitudes and concerns about safety. We respect that wearing a face covering is a matter of personal choice and will do our best to ensure all visitors feel comfortable. If you are experiencing symptoms of a respiratory illness or flu-like illness that could be infectious and/or Covid-19, we politely ask that you do not visit, and we will reschedule your appointment as a priority. We thank you for your patience and support.
