A practical workshop exploring original performance conditions of Shakespeare's plays

This practical 90 minute workshop explores the original performance conditions of your choice of any of Shakespeare's plays, covering:

  • Contemporary approaches to text versus original performance conditions
  • Cue Scripts
  • Props and movement
  • Staging concerns
  • Performance styles in public versus private playhouses

Classes are illustrated with materials from our world-renowned library and archive, and can be booked for the time and date of your choice, Monday to Fridays.

Duration: 90 minutes

Price: £8 per person (Minimum charge based on 15 people)

Suitable for all exam boards; OCR, AQA, Edexcel, WJEC, Pre-U and IB.

Combine with our Theatre Text in Context workshop, plus a visit to Shakespeare’s Birthplace for only £18 per person.
