Tim Cooke

Chief Executive Officer

Tim joined the Trust as CEO in March 2018 and is responsible for all aspects of our work in Stratford-upon-Avon and around the world. He oversees the development of the organisation’s strategy designed to extend local, national, and international appreciation and understanding of Shakespeare’s works, life and times. Tim formerly led museums in Cornwall and Northern Ireland. He was responsible for the refurbishment of the Ulster Museum in Belfast which won the Art Fund’s UK Museum of the Year Prize. He is a former senior broadcasting executive with the BBC and a former Fellow at Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government. Tim serves as an Honorary Governor of the Royal Shakespeare Company.
