A Mother’s Perspective - Exploring the Impact of Hamnet

An exclusive guided tour available to purchase alongside your Anne Hathaway's Cottage ticket.

Anne Hathaway's Cottage tours exploring stories of love, loss and Tudor healing.

In celebration of the award-winning film Hamnet, based on the novel by Maggie O’Farrell, you are invited to discover the real story of grief, loss and love at the family home of Anne Hathaway in Stratford-upon-Avon.

Join us for an exploration tour of Anne Hathaway’s Cottage, known as 'Hewlands Farm' when Anne lived there. Each tour has its own guide, and they will highlight the hidden stories of family life, medicinal knowledge and heartache from centuries past as you explore the 15th-century building and gardens that were once home to generations of the Hathaway family.

Please note: This event is not suitable for children under 16 due to the sensitive nature of the content.

Tours will take place on Wednesdays and Saturdays on a range of dates from March to May 2026. Book your tickets online.

Each ticket is valid for a single Hamnet tour on the date selected at the time of booking and must be purchased alongside an admission ticket for Anne Hathaway's Cottage.
