Wonderful Willow-Weaving Wednesdays

Re-shaping the beautiful willow tunnel

Willow Weaving at Mary Arden's Farm

"There is a Willow grows aslant a brook,

That shows his hoar leaves in the glassy stream.

There on the pendant boughs her coronet weeds

Clambering to hang, an envious sliver broke."  (Queen, Hamlet, Act 4, Scene 7, 167)

Every year our living sculpture willow tunnel needs to be reshaped, to fill in gaps, mend breaks and incorporate all the wonderful new shoots.
