This interactive workshop delivered onsite in Shakespeare's hometown of Stratford-upon-Avon, delves into his life, times, works and legacy. Students will learn all about Shakespeare's world using historical documents, archive materials, interactive activities and group discussion.
This workshop is the perfect accompaniment to your visit to Shakespeare's Birthplace, giving students who are new to Shakespeare a fun and thorough introduction to the Bard or building on what students already know.

Key elements in this workshop include:
- Shakespeare's life - what we do (and don't) know about him
- Shakespeare's times - historical context, Tudor schooling, life in Stratford upon Avon and theatre in Shakespeare's London
- Shakespeare's works - his company, his inspirations and the publishing of The First Folio
- Shakespeare's legacy - his impact, reputation and place in the world's cultural heritage.
