Shakespeare Week

Our national campaign inspiring primary school children through a free annual celebration.

Shakespeare Week is our annual national celebration giving primary school aged children opportunities for enriching and enjoyable early experiences of Shakespeare. It is one of the pathways to Shakespeare provided by the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust for people of all ages and stages of interest.

Schools, families, home educators and cultural organisations can access our free resources and activities online.

We work with a range of cultural partners across the UK, who organise Shakespeare-inspired events during and outside of Shakespeare Week itself. We have already brought Shakespeare to life for over 8 million primary school children, and now we want to do even more.
