Heritage, Literature and Learning at the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust
Part of the remit of the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust is to further the education across the world of the works of Shakespeare. As a result, the Trust runs a number of talks and courses throughout the year, a proportion of which are open to the public. With it's academic pedigree, the Trust also runs literary events such as book signings, and is responsible for the Shakespeare Bookshop containing one of the best collections in the world of books to buy on Shakespeare and his Works, taking advantage of the recommendations of our highly knowledgable bookshop staff.
The Trust is also responsible for keeping a large set of records and archives about Shakespeare but also about local history and also as far-reaching as records on Bram Stoker and his involvement in the Victorian theatre. This element of the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust also runs a number of talks and courses including events on tracing your family history, for example.
Please visit the relevant pages for more information on the different types of learning events with which to take part at the Trust.
If you would like to bring a school group to visit us, please also visit our group visits area for more information on the ways in which we can help your school to teach and learn about Shakespeare and Tudor life.
