Treasures from our Collection

Get up close to some of our rare and beautiful archive items

A special presentation from our Collections team

A special opportunity to see up-close some of the rare and beautiful items in our library, archive and museum collection followed by a delicious cream tea.

In this informal presentation, popular with university groups and tour parties and now available for individual visitors, learn about early modern history through our early printed books and museum objects. Explore theatre memorabilia from the 18th century to the current day, including items from the Shakespeare Memorial Theatre and the RSC, as well as items illustrating the fascinating history of the town.

Taking place in our historic Conference Room at the Shakespeare Centre, our talk will be followed by a cream tea in the Marble Hall overlooking the Birthplace Garden.

The talk begins at 10.30am and will be followed by refreshments at 11.45am.

Tickets: £14 per person / Friends £10
