Shakespeare's Birthday Celebrations

Celebrate Shakespeare’s birthday in his hometown of Stratford

Join us in Stratford-upon-Avon for a day of celebration

To mark William Shakespeare’s 456th birthday, we are planning a special programme of celebrations in honour of Stratford’s most famous son and the world’s greatest playwright.

On Saturday, 25 April, come and feast your senses on our table of entertainment and merriment inspired by Birthday Celebrations past. Our free, family-friendly day will run from 11am - 4pm on Henley Street, right in front of the very house where Shakespeare was born.

Also on Saturday, 25th April, visitors will be treated to a free slice of birthday cake while stocks last!

Free entry to Shakespeare’s Family Homes on Saturday 25 April & Sunday 26 April for all CV37 residents (with proof of address).
