Celebrate Shakespeare’s birthday in Stratford

Join us in Stratford-upon-Avon for a weekend of circus fun and live performances.


Henley Street

9.30am-4.00pm - Throughout the day on Henley Street enjoy a selection of fantastic local community groups. 

12.00 noon - Help Man on The Moon George Orange balance across his half-moon rope walk (also at 1.30 & 3.30pm).

12:00 noon - Angie Mac’s amazing Hula Hoop performances (also at 1pm & 3pm).

12.30pm - Magical Butterfly Fairy Amy Amelia juggling her magical crystal balls (also at 2pm & 4pm).

At Shakespeare’s Family Homes

Cake for all - enjoy a free slice of Shakespeare's birthday cake at one of his 5 family homes (while stocks last!).

11.00am - 4.00pm - Interactive performances at Shakespeare’s New Place with our resident actors, Shakespeare Aloud!

12.00 - 4.00pm - Knights and Nymphs garden party at Hall’s Croft - free entry to Hall's Croft garden 

12.00 - 4.00pm - Free Entry to Harvard House.

2.00 - 4.00pm - A Walk in Shakespeare’s Garden 

Also In Town

Look out for the ‘Lucky Sonnet’ scrolls being given out – grab one and you may win a prize.

10.35-11.50am - Birthday procession moves through Waterside, Bridge Street, High Street, Henley Street and ends at Holy Trinity Church.

11.30am-4.15pm - Free family friendly activities around the RSC’s Stratford theatres

Free entry to Shakespeare’s Family Homes on Saturday 22 and Sunday 23 April for all CV37 residence (with proof of address).
