Our International Collection

Collections Cream Tea

Join us for an informal talk about some of the ways Shakespeare has been celebrated around the world.

Find out about the first international Shakespeare Society, and the importance of it in its time and place; understand the role of Shakespeare in global diplomatic relations in war and peace; learn about how diplomatic gifts and the association of national poets with one another can shape international communities. All told through items held in our world-class designated collection.

Taking place in our historic Conference Room at the Shakespeare Centre, the talk will be followed by a cream tea in the Marble Hall overlooking the garden at Shakespeare's Birthplace.

The talk starts at 2pm and will be followed by the cream tea at 3.10pm.

The event takes place at the Shakespeare Centre, Henley Street, Stratford-upon-Avon CV37 6QW.

Tickets: £14 per person / Friends £10

Booking closes on Thursday 16 April.
