The New Place garden talk

with Head Gardener, Glyn Jones

When the crowds have left and our beautiful buildings are quiet, we invite you to try something different. Sample a wide range of specially programmed talks and workshops 'After Hours'.

Join our Head Gardener Glyn Jones as he shows you round the re-interpreted garden at Shakespeare's New Place. Study the design, planting, and the fantastic 3D art installations.

Glyn will then explain the restoration of the sunken knot garden which has been restored in keeping with the original design by Ernest Law.

You'll get a unique insight into the project, and some of the issues the gardens team came up against. The tour will continue into the Great garden looking at the Herbaceous borders and the wild bank.

This is a fantastic opportunity to learn more about this wonderful garden in Stratford-upon-Avon, study the plantings, learn about the seasonality, our plans going forward and meet some of the characters that care for them every day.
