Get Hands-On!

This summer at Shakespeare's Family Homes

All activities are included in general admission so if you already have a valid pass you can come along for free!

Shakespeare's New Place

The Imagination Statues
20 July - 1 September, 12-4pm

Be inspired by the Greg Wyatt statues in the Great Garden and act out your own versions of the plays that they represent using props, costumes and scripts provided.
Dress up and have some fun!

Anne Hathaway's Cottage

Garden of Inspiration
29 July - 1 September, 9am-5pm

Head to our garden and get hands on with activities inspired by The Tempest.  Dress up our scarecrows, create your own storm in our musical corner, or hunker down in our natural story pods.

The Visited Orchard
22 July - 1 September

Follow artist Francesca Millican-Slater's unique hunt around the 9-acre site, picking up clues that will unlock the stories of visitors from the past and present, including Second World War sweethearts, migratory birds, writers of letters, and famous names.

Finish your adventure by writing your own story on an ornamental apple and hanging it on the special tree that will grow with visitor apples throughout the summer before being 'harvested' in September.
