Flowers of Winter

See Shakespeare's Birthplace like never before!

This winter, see Shakespeare’s Birthplace filled with floral displays, inspired by traditional winter blooms.

Inspired by the traditional laying of flowers to symbolise the downing of tools and the beginning of celebrations, stunning original floral displays by local floral designers (March Hare Floral Design and Tuckshop Flowers) will fill the house this Christmas season.

Did you know that in the Tudor period houses were not decorated until Christmas Eve and that the 40 days before Christmas were times of fasting and prayer?  Come and find out more about these traditions and discover something new this Christmas.
