Summer with Shakespeare

From puzzling trails and craft activities to dressing up and acting with Shakespeare Aloud! there's plenty to keep the kids entertained.

All events are included in general admission, unless otherwise stated. 

The Big Picnic
Saturday 29 July, 12-4pm / Anne Hathaway's Cottage / Free to CV37 residents* and members of the emergency services and their families **

Pack a picnic and join us in the gardens to enjoy music, games, face painting and outdoor theatre from Castle Small Puppet Theatre.

Shakes-paw's Day
Saturday 26 August, 12-4pm / Anne Hathaway's Cottage / Free to CV37 residents* 

All paws allowed down at the Cottage!  Celebrate National Dog Day in the beautiful historic gardens at Anne Hathaway's Cottage.  Bring your dog, a picnic and join in the fun with plenty of activities for your furry friends to enjoy.  If you're feeling peckish why not try our sizzling barbecue?  Bring your dog and enjoy 20% off general admission.

Shakespeare's New Place: One Year on
Sunday 20 August, 12-4pm / Shakespeare's New Place / Free to CV37 residents*  and free to members of the emergency services and their families **

Shakespeare's New Place turns one and to celebrate its paper anniversary, we're having a little party with fun games, activities and live performances.  Take part in origami workshops and enjoy live music in the Great Garden.  For grown-ups, there's free gin tasting courtesy of the Shakespeare Distillery and free biscuits for all visitors - while stocks last!   

Shakespeare Film Festival
Thursday 21 - Saturday 23 September / Shakespeare's New Place

Join us for a three-day festival featuring outdoor screenings of Shakespeare on film, with a 2017 theme of 'Crossing Borders'.
