Poetry Festival: All the Business of War

Programmed by Roger Pringle

Join us for a look at how poets and writers respond to war with Simon Russell Beale and Alexandra Gilbreath. Featuring poems of several centuries and cultures which have responded to war from many angles.

Ranging from wars distant and recent, from those who fought to those left at home, from refugees crossing borders to others affected by the consequences of war. Heroism, fear, love, suffering, excitement, grief, triumph and protest are all sounded in this absorbing and varied recital.

This event will take place in The Shakespeare Centre, Henley Street, Stratford-upon-Avon, CV37 6QW. Booking is essential, tickets are available online or at our ticket offices at any of Shakespeare's Family Homes.
