Makaton Sing-a-long Sunday

A hands-on, nursery rhyme sing-a-long

Come and join in with our Makaton nursery rhymes

Come along with your family on the first Sunday of every month at 11am and join in with our Makaton sing-a-long.

New for 2019 - you and your little ones are encouraged to join in with nursery rhymes including; Three Blind Mice, Oranges and Lemons, Hark Hark the Dogs do Bark and Little Bo Peep.  

After the songs have finished you can enjoy our specially created Makaton trail around the site of Shakespeare's New Place where you can get hands on with sculptures and other interactive parts of the site.  

The sessions aren’t just for people who use Makaton every day, both you and your family will enjoy using the signs and symbols with these timeless performing the songs.

Makaton is a language programme using signs and symbols to help people to communicate. It is designed to support spoken language and the signs and symbols are used with speech, in spoken word order.  Today over 100,000 children and adults use Makaton symbols and signs.

This activity is included in normal admissions - so if you already have a valid ticket or a community card you can come along monthly for free!
