Family Activity Marquee

Hands-on activities for the whole family.

The family activity marquee set in the beautiful gardens at Anne Hathaway’s Cottage is back by popular demand! The activity marquee is open from 12-4pm at weekends, bank holidays and school holidays from 19th March – 30th October 2016

Enjoy our Shakespeare and nature theme with games, quests, crafts and other hands-on activities for all ages, including:

Bard’s Beasties - create your own creature from pine cones.

Brass Rubbing - take a rubbing of a butterfly, spider, ladybird and maybe even Shakespeare himself!

Woodland Walk Scavenger Boxes – Test your scavenger skills as you explore William’s Woodland. Will you be able to collect all of the items required to complete the challenge?

Create your own Magical Creature - take inspiration from Shakespeare and nature by dreaming up and drawing your own magical creatures.

Natural Masterpiece - use leaves, twigs, and other natural materials to create a masterpiece inspired by the work of environmental artist Andy Goldsworthy.

Puppet Theatre - pick up a script and have a go at performing Shakespeare with our wonderful selection of puppets.

"My daughter’s curiosity has been catered for! She has enjoyed being in such a stimulating environment."

There’s always something new to try in the marquee - hands-on, interactive activities are added throughout the year. The marquee is engaging for young and old alike. Families often spend as long as 2 hours in the marquee trying out all of the activities and all crafty creations can be taken home! Everyone who participates in our activities will be given a certificate and a sticker (while stocks last).

"The children were entertained for ages. Lots of activities for different ages and interest. Super, high energy staff. Thank you."

We look forward to welcoming you to the marquee soon.
