The Friends of the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust support the Trust in a wide range of activities promoting the enjoyment and understanding of Shakespeare's work, life and times.

Money raised by the Friends of the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust helps to enrich our collections, support the work of the Learning and Education department and provide an enjoyable experience for all our visitors. These vital funds support the constant care and conservation that is required in order to maintain Shakespeare's five family homes around Stratford-upon-Avon.

In return for your support, we offer Friends an unrivalled insider’s view of the Trust that most visitors cannot hope to have. We will keep you in touch and informed through special events including exclusive behind the scenes tours, talks and our regular programme of newsletters and online communications.

  • Unlimited free entry to all five Shakespeare family homes for named member(s)
  • Friends’ newsletter to keep you in touch with our activities and news three times a year.
  • Invitations to special Friends events
  • 10% discount at all Shakespeare Birthplace Trust Gift shops, and the Shakespeare Bookshop
  • 10% discount at all Shakespeare Birthplace Trust cafes
  • Discounts on other Shakespeare Birthplace Trust events (including our annual Poetry Festival)
