New Place, Shakespeare’s grand family home in Stratford-upon-Avon where he lived for 19 years of his adult life, is being transformed into a new heritage landmark where you will discover the man behind the great works.
To celebrate 400 years of Shakespeare’s creative legacy and the opening of Shakespeare’s New Place in Summer 2016*, we’re inviting you to get creative and design a housewarming card for the Shakespeares. All you need to do is design the front page of an A5 card in portrait (half of A4) and send it to us by the new extended deadline of Monday 20 June for a chance to win a fantastic Shakespeare prize package.
You can use any craft material (paint/crayons or even glitter!) and be as creative as you like. What’s more, the winning design, along with a selection of shortlisted creations will be displayed in our brand new exhibition at Shakespeare’s New Place!
There are three categories:
Under 11s
12 – 16 year olds
Over 16s
The winner of each category will receive:
A Town, Cottage and Farm Family Pass to the Shakespeare Family Homes in Stratford-upon-Avon (2 adults and up to 4 children), valid for 12 months unlimited entry; and a bundle of Shakespeare goodies.
