Sharing Shakespeare's Story

An energetic and interactive workshop telling the story of Shakespeare's life

Your class will take part in an energetic and interactive workshop telling the story of William Shakespeare's life, followed by a fun re-telling of either The Tempest or A Midsummer Night's Dream.  The session is designed to capture your pupils' imagination through a series of rhymes, games and storytelling, as they discover what life was like for William as a schoolboy, family man, actor and playwright.

Pupils will:

  • take part in hands-on activities including making masks and magic wands
  • enjoy using a variety of props and costumes
  • follow in William Shakespeare's footsteps with a beautifully illustrated sticker book to uncover hidden gems on a Stratford-upon-Avon town trail including exploring the home where Shakespeare's story begins.

Available: Term-time all year round.
Venue: The Shakespeare Centre, Stratford upon Avon, CV37 6QW

Price: £8.00 per pupil, including the illustrated sticker book and a visit to Shakespeare’s Birthplace

Optimum capacity for all workshops is one class - please call +44 (0)1789 207131 to discuss alternative group sizes.
One member of staff (free of charge) is required to accompany every six children.
A minimum charge equivalent to 20 pupils applies.
Lunch spaces can be made available at both venues on request.

The storytelling workshop was fabulous. Pitched brilliantly and involved every child. One of the best workshops I've attended.
