Artsmark Partnership

The Shakespeare Birthplace Trust is proud to be an Artsmark Partner supporting primary schools to be creative and using the arts to enhance and inspire children and young people’s education.

Artsmark is the nationally recognised mark of excellence and creative quality standard for schools, accredited by Arts Council England. We are part of the Artsmark Partnership programme which is an endorsed network of arts and cultural organisations that can support education settings on their Artsmark journey to embed arts and culture across the curriculum.

The Shakespeare Birthplace Trust is committed to working in depth with one Primary school at a time on Artsmark. We can offer:

  • Support with planning for English and the creative curriculum
  • CPD sessions for teachers in school
  • Access to the Trust’s full range of Shakespeare Week resources and advice on how they can be embedded into yearly planning, ensuring progression across year groups
  • Advice on how to get the most out of school visits to Museums and Heritage Sites
  • Delivery of Arts Award at Discover and Explore level
  • Guidance and practical support on helping pupils to achieve Arts Award
  • A discount on SBT’s educational offerings

Whilst the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust is committed to working with one Artsmark Partner primary school in depth at any one time, we are happy to offer advice and support to any school on their Artsmark journey.

Please contact Sarah Fisher at [email protected] to find out how the Trust can support you with your Artsmark journey.
