Jacqueline Green

Head of Learning & Participation

Jacqueline has had an extensive career in theatre management working at some of our most notable regional repertory theatres. In 1990 she was part of the team responsible for the opening of the £13 million new West Yorkshire Playhouse in Leeds. She also managed the Shaftesbury Theatre, in London’s West End, for the Theatre of Comedy Company. In 2001 she became General Manager and Chief Executive of Gazebo Theatre in Education Company, an award-winning theatre company that worked with over 17,000 young people in the West Midlands in schools and community settings annually.

She joined the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust 2004 and is now Head of Learning and Participation, leading the team responsible for the delivery of both formal and informal learning programmes and activities for children, students and Shakespeare enthusiasts. She is the project leader for Shakespeare Week, the national, annual celebration of Shakespeare for primary school children and their families that has reached over 3 million children, in its first three years.
