Elizabeth Dollimore

Outreach and Primary Learning Manager

Dr Elizabeth Dollimore manages the team who deliver education for primary aged children. The team offers a wide range of formal education sessions which respond to the national curriculum and focus on History, Drama and Literacy. It also offers less formal learning experiences at the houses for children, their parents and grandparents and anyone else who likes to 'have a go'. 

Elizabeth manages and supports various outreach projects the largest of which is Shakespeare Week - a national annual celebration for primary aged children which has reached an estimated 1.5 million children. Elizabeth’s background is in university education and she has taught at Liverpool, Manchester and Chester Universities on subjects as diverse as science fiction and literary theory. Also, she can be spotted at Shakespeare Birthplace Trust teaching visiting groups of secondary school children and university students.
