Dr Anjna Chouhan

Senior Lecturer in Shakespeare Studies

Dr Anjna Chouhan is Senior Lecturer in Shakespeare Studies. She edited the Pickering and Chatto sourcebook on Victorian actor-manager Sir Henry Irving and has written for Dorling Kindersley, Cambridge University Press, Arden and Cambridge Schools Shakespeare.

As well as appearing in MOOCs for the British Council and RSC, Anjna acts as a Shakespeare consultant for the BBC, featuring on Great British Railway Journeys and Songs of Praise, and leading the Shakespeare input for the 2016 project, ShakespeareMe.

Anjna delivers public talks for the National Theatre to support their Shakespeare productions (including Macbeth and Antony and Cleopatra – 2018), and she co-devised the Shakespeare edition of Trivial Pursuit.

Anjna acts as dramaturge for the in-house performance teams, and is currently developing the Trust’s digital and video content, as well as co-hosting their podcast, Shakespeare Alive.
