The Snap Shakespeare Challenge
Put Shakespeare in the frame of your holiday photos with the Eye Shakespeare app on iPhone and iPad.
16-30 August 2013
iPhone and iPad users are being invited to 'Snap Shakespeare' and capture the famous playwright in unusual locations from the Taj Mahal to the Pyramids.
The Shakespeare Birthplace Trust is challenging photographers worldwide to put Shakespeare in the frame of their photos to celebrate the launch of the augmented reality app Eye Shakespeare.
For two weeks, from 16th - 30th August, users of the app will be able to picture Shakespeare in any location they choose and send them to the Trust for inclusion in an online gallery.
David Hopes, Research Fellow and co-ordinator of the Eye Shakespeare project for the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust, said, “Shakespeare is known and performed throughout the world, so we want to see how far he travels with this new technology.”
If you'd like to help send Shakespeare on the trip of a lifetime, download the app from the iTunes store and send your photos of Shakespeare to email@example.com. A selection of the best will be featured in an online gallery and other publicity material.
The Eye Shakespeare app will be enabled to submit photos from 16th - 30th August 2013.
