Shakespeare Aloud! present Macbeth

Part of  October half term

Shakespeare Aloud! presents William Shakespeare's Macbeth

02 November 2013

Shakespeare Aloud! present a unique version of Macbeth in the Queen Elizabeth Hall at the Shakespeare Centre on Henley Street, Stratford-upon-Avon.

With a reputation for making Shakespeare accessible to all, this professional in-house acting troupe will transform the seemingly modern and empty hall into the battlefields of Scotland; complete with witches, ghosts and an extraordinary amount of costume changes!

With only six actors in the cast, Shakespeare Aloud! reflect the traditions of an Elizabethan travelling band of players, who would arrive at a venues with nothing more than the clothes on their backs and a huge amount of passion and energy for their performances.

Following their successes with Twelfth Night, "the audience were reduced to hysterical laughter..." and As You Like It, "There were lots of swift costume changes, plenty of comedy, even a ukulele orchestra and there was much laughter throughout the performance", the team now turn to the darker side of Shakespeare and with Halloween approaching, this production is not to be missed.
