February Half Term at Shakespeare's Family Homes

Part of  February Half Term

Family friendly activities at Shakespeare's Family Homes throughout the holidays!

14-23 February 2014

There's so much to see and do at Shakespeare's Family Homes during February Half Term! We've created extra special activities for one week only, so come and join in the fun from 15 - 23 February 2014 (unless otherwise stated).*

Shakespeare's Birthplace

The Mirth o' the Feast

The table has been laid for lunch!  Test your history skills and try to spot the items of food that William Shakespeare and his family would not have eaten during their own time.

Star in Your Own Version of Romeo & Juliet (14th-17th Feb)

Perform an extract from Romeo and Juliet for our cameras, either as a pair or alongside one of our in-house actors. We'll be asking people to vote for their favourite video so you could win a book of romantic sonnets. Find out more.

Anne Hathaway's Cottage

Love Struck

Follow the Woodland Walk to find a selection of Shakespearian quotes, with highlighted letters that combine to spell out a romantic message. Wander down the ‘Love Struck’ trail to find Shakespeare-inspired love tokens including a romantic single red rose, then pause at the sweetheart tree, where you can write your very own message of love on a wooden heart.

Hall’s Croft

The Play's the Thing!

Test your knowledge of Shakespeare's life and plays with our interactive quiz. Fun for all the family!

Nash's House and New Place

The Week of Love and Frenemies

Decorate the trees in the Knot Garden with lines from your favourite sonnets, and have a go at our Love and Frenemies quiz to find out about the different types of relationships that appear in Shakespeare's plays.

*Normal admission applies, so these activities are free to valid ticket-holders!
