Recital outside Shakespeare's Birthplace


From 11am to 4.15pm enjoy a day of poetry where local and visiting groups, RSC actors, musicians, writers and Amnesty International bring verse to the town. Look out for reticals on the streets, the chain ferry, river bank, Holy Trinity Church and the Bancroft and War Memorial Gardens.

At 12pm Jane Lapotaire presents her personal selction of poetry in the Guild Chapel (admission free).

At 4pm join us as we gather outside Shakespeare's Birthplace to sing Teddy Bear's Picnic in celebration of the 60th anniversary of the Stratford-upon-Avon Poetry Festival!
