Shakespeare's Birthplace
Join us as we honour the life and work of Bengali poet, Rabindranath Tagore, on the 100th anniversary of his Nobel Prize for Literature award.
Between 2.30pm and 3.30pm on Saturday 4 May visitors can enjoy a special commemorative ceremony comprising readings and songs by Tagore's bust in the Birthplace garden.
At 4.00pm the UK premiere screening of a film of Tagore's dance drama Chitrangada will be shown in the Shakespeare Room (this element of the event is free of charge).
Celebrations will continue through to Monday 6 May with Shakespeare Aloud! performing some of the peot's iconic works.
Normal opening times and admission prices apply.
