The facilities in all of the houses aim to make your visit as comfortable and pleasureable as possible. Our staff will be happy to assist in any way possible and you are welcome to contact the individual houses before visiting should you need any further information.
Shakespeare's Birthplace
The Birthplace has a new giftshop and book shop, and new toilets. Car and cycle parks are in close proximity.
Access to the Birthplace is via a pedestrianised shopping street. The ground floor of the Birthplace and the Visitors' Centre are accessible to those with restricted mobility, although the floor is uneven in parts. The garden is also accessible to wheelchair users and those with restricted mobility. Toilet facilities for wheelchair users are available.
Nash's House & New Place
Nash's House has a giftshop and visitor toilets. The nearest car parks are Rother Street and Church Street(which is open on weekends only).
The ground floor of Nash's House is accessible to wheelchair users and those with restricted mobility. Most of the garden is accessible, however, the Knot Garden is inaccessible to wheelchair users. Toilet facilities for wheelchair users are available.
Hall's Croft
Hall's Croft also has a new cafe, a giftshop and visitor toilets. Car and cycle parking is in close proximity and again the nearest car parks are Rother Street and Church Street (as Nash's House).
Most of the ground floor is accessible to those with restricted mobility. The rear of the ground floor is inaccessible to wheelchair users due to steps. The garden is accessible to wheelchair users and toilet facilities are available.
Anne Hathaway's Cottage
Anne Hathaway's Cottage has a giftshop, toilets and on site car parking.
The interior is not accessible to wheelchair users and some visitors with limited mobility, however the gardens are (although some paths are narrow). The tree garden and walks may be inaccessible to wheelchair users in wet weather. Toilet facilities for wheelchair users are available.
Mary Arden's Farm
The farm has a giftshop, on site car and cycle parking. It also has an excellent cafe serving home made refreshments.
Most of the ground floor of Mary Arden's Farm and Palmer's Farm are accessible to those with restricted mobility, although parts are very narrow and restricted for wheelchair users.
The farm, most of the gardens and parts of the field walks are accessible to wheelchair users and those with restricted mobility. Some of the walks however may be inaccessible due to the rough terrain. Palmer's Farm garden is not accessible to wheelchair users. Toilet facilities for wheelchair users are available.
