Why support the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust?
We care for five Tudor houses in Stratford-upon-Avon that are associated with William Shakespeare and his family, including the house where he was born and the site of the house in which he died. We also hold and care for world class collections of Shakespeare related materials. Our programmes, education and outreach work continue to inspire visitors, students and scholars of all nationalities. We do all this without any direct government funding and rely entirely on income generated through our supporters: our visitors, donors, volunteers and Friends.
