Collette Foundation Bursary

Working with the Collette Foundation we are pleased to announce the introduction of a bursary programme to help schools within Warwickshire and the surrounding counties to attend one of our education courses free of charge.

There is an enormous body of evidence that learning beyond the classroom, such as through our Heritage Education programs, has a positive impact on educational attainment. Unfortunately, not every school can afford to come which is why we are so delighted that the Collette Foundation has supported a bursary which is enabling schools to have the course fees paid and open these courses to children that could not otherwise come – often the very children who would benefit most from such an experience.

'We were so excited to find Shakespeare’s Birthplace — a remarkable program. The children’s programming is outstanding and really touched on a major aspect of the Collette Foundation’s mission – to improve the lives of children. We were looking to partner with a nonprofit organization that allows children to really immerse themselves in a cultural activity that gives them an understanding of their traditions and heritage.  Shakespeare’s Birthplace offers award-winning Heritage Education Programs that allow local primary school classes to visit the property and engage in Shakespeare’s times in a truly authentic setting.'
