The procession past the Town Hall

10.30am - Civic Procession (by invitation): with guests from the Town Hall to Holy Trinity Church

11.00am - Annual Shakespeare Service: in Holy Trinity Church. Sermon to be preached by Dr Paula Byrne

Bond meets the Bard

Alan Cumming (Boris Grishenko in GoldenEye) and Julian Glover (Aristotle Kristatos in For Your Eyes Only) talk to Paul Allen about what the iconic series of 007 films have in common with recent RSC productions.

Table Talk

One Shakespeare play, one RSC director and a company of RSC actors. A chance to listen and watch as actors work with director, Conall Morrison, through the early stages of their first encounter with the text. Conall is directing this season's production of The Taming of the Shrew in The Courtyard Theatre.

Stage and screen actor Sir Donald Sinden reflects upon his career and relationship with Shakespeare.

Getting Intimate with Strangers

RSC actors Penny Downie and Alexandra Gilbreath reveal what draws them to particular characters from the Shakespeare canon and offer an insight to how they portray them on stage as people we recognise.
