There's so much to see and do at Shakespeare's family homes during February half term! We've created extra special activities for one week only, so come and join in the fun from 13 - 21 February 2016.

Unless otherwise stated, activities take place from 12pm - 4pm daily and are included in admission, so if you already have a valid ticket you can come along for free!

Shakespeare's Birthplace

Dare you explore what's inside the box?

Put your hands into our feely boxes and work out what toy from Shakespeare's childhood is hidden in there. How different are they from children's toys today?

Wish Upon a Star (13 - 14 Feb only)

Find the numbered stars hidden in the house and our Shakespeare Aloud actors will perform the associated sonnet just for you! Shakespeare Aloud will also be getting into the romantic spirit with pop up performances of their very own 20 minute version of Romeo and Juliet.

Tudor Workshops (18 Feb only, 12pm - 4pm)

Hear a Tudor boy's tale of Shakespeare's youth and find out all about Tudor medicine, clothes and more. Plus, meet a real life plague rat, tarantula and other animals connected to Tudor times!

Anne Hathaway's Cottage & Gardens

Baking with the Hathaways

Dress up as a Victorian Hathaway and have a go at cutting your own biscuits and taste some historic recipes for yourself.

From Anne Hathaway's With Love (8 - 14 Feb)

Follow the Valentine's Riddle to find the post box in the grounds at the cottage, and send your loving messages from one of the most romantic sites in England. Who will be the first to propose to their sweetheart from the cottage? We will share messages on facebook and twitter for your loved one to read.

Hall’s Croft

Crack the Code

Crack our code and use it to write your own secret message, or use our invisible ink to pass notes no one can see!

Valentine's Tree (all day on 14 Feb only)

Write a message to a loved one and hang it on the Valentine's tree in the parlour.

Tudor Workshops (19 Feb only, 12pm - 4pm)

Hear a Tudor boy's tale of Shakespeare's youth and find out all about Tudor medicine, clothes and more. Plus, meet a real life plague rat, tarantula and other animals connected to Tudor times!

Harvard House

Build Shakespeare's Houses (12pm - 3pm daily)

Learn about how Tudor houses were constructed by helping us to reconstruct the Shakespeare family homes in miniature.
