Lunchtime Lecture, 1pm, Wednesday 8 July: Jonathan Croall and Stanley Wells - 'Sybil Thorndike: A Star of Life'. Jonathan Croall talks to Stanley Wells about writing the life of Sybil Thorndike, a leading actress and one of the most remarkable women of the twentieth century.

Living Shakespeare, Thursday 16 - Saturday 18 July: Living Shakespeare Courses offer a unique opportunity to learn more about Shakespeare's plays. Over three days, through lectures, theater performances and discussion with scholars and theatre professionals you will gain a greater understanding of the plays. The emphasis of these programmes is on the enjoyment of learning in a friendly and generous atmosphere. This summer's Living Shakespeare course is based around Julius Caesar and As You Like It.
