Evening Lecture, 7.30pm, Wednesday 30th April: Nick Billingham - The Story of Stratford Canal (book still available). This talk details the genesis of the canal and its effect on the growth of the town. Dynamic characters involved went on to create the tramway and revolutionise the entire nation's transport system. The town itself was lifted from a 500 year long depression and launched on the path to international fame. The canal is a lot more than just a muddy ditch!

Tickets available from the Centre weekdays between 9.00am and 5.00pm and from 7.00pm on the night.
