A 90 minute interactive, illustrated talk covering:

  • The original performance conditions and stagecraft of Shakespeare's theatre in relation to your chosen play.
  • The social, cultural and historical context of the play in relation to its performance history.
  • The contribution of directors, designers and performers to the theatrical experience. 
  • Discussion of the live performance seen by the students in relation to all of the above. 
  • Aiming for an A*: To sharpen awareness of the topic, students are introduced to a range of carefully selected archive materials.
