Here at the Shakespeare Centre we have the world's most important library and archive, with public access, devoted to Shakespeare, the sources of his plays and their history on the stage. We also look after the archive of the RSC which includes hundreds and thousands of photos, programmes and reviews, as well as prompt books and video recordings. Teachers and students are welcome to use the library for their own research or can contact us with enquiries or photocopying requests. Email scla@shakespeare.org.uk

If you are not able to visit The Shakespeare Centre, we can send copies of our resources to you by post.

  • Research materials on Shakespeare's plays. This includes a selection of photocopies on your chosen play. £50 (including VAT and UK postage)
  • Resource materials on 'Original Staging' for AQA and Edexcel Drama and Theatre Studies students. These materials have been carefully selected to support student research and complement our 'Theatre Text in Context' talks. £35 (including VAT and UK postage)
  • Theatre reviews on Shakespearian productions for the use of students of English Literature and Drama and Theatre Studies. These include a selection of photocopies on your chosen play. £15 (including VAT and UK postage)
