Friday 22 August 2008 The day includes a number of sessions revisiting the text, focussing on performance, female interpretations of Hamlet, a director in conversation, and ends with a panel discussion. The event will be chaired by Professor Stanley Wells, CBE and Dr Paul Edmondson from The Shakespeare Birthplace Trust, and includes contributions from Professor Catherine Belsey from the University of Wales, Swansea, Tony Howard from the University of Warwick, and the director Michael Bogdanov. The programme day commences at 10.00 am (doors open at 9.30 am) and is scheduled to finish at around 4.45 pm. Refreshments are provided mid-morning and afternoon, but participants will need to make their own arrangements for lunch.
