The Shakespeare Birthplace Trust is on the look out for England’s most romantic couple to pop the question at Anne Hathaway’s Cottage, the most romantic setting in England and where Shakespeare wooed his wife to be. Send us your story of ‘romantic beginnings’ and you will be entered into a competition to win one night’s bed and breakfast at the Welcombe Hotel, Stratford-upon-Avon. Every submission will receive a special voucher for two to visit Anne Hathaway’s Cottage, which is the perfect setting for a proposal with its romantic willow cabin complete with Shakespeare’s sonnets, an orchard walk leading to a tree garden and maze as well as of course the cottage itself.
